A catch-all e-mailbox is one that collects all the email messages sent to nonexistent addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an out-of-date address or has made a typographical error. The downside of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving lots of unsolicited emails, but this problem can be fixed by using anti-spam protection software. It’s also vital to keep in mind that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot forward inbound emails to a third-party email address.
